Claudio Faga has been a prize winner in several competitions in Brazil and Latin America, such as the “Cesar Cortinas” International Guitar Competition (Montevideo, Uruguay), the São Paulo Museum of Art Guitar Competition, the CMVL-FITO Guitar Competition (São Paulo, Brazil) and the “Rosa Mística” Latin American Guitar Competition (Curitiba, Brazil).

Born in São Paulo, Mr. Faga began his musical studies in his childhood, later studying the guitar with Claudio Weizmann and Everton Gloeden. He currently pursues a Bachelor of Music Degree at the State University of São Paulo (UNESP) with Gisela Nogueira and Giacomo Bartoloni, and receives musical guidance by Brazilian pianist Paulo Gazzaneo.

Claudio Faga attended important music festivals in Brazil and abroad such as Campos do Jordão Festival, “Vital Medeiros” Guitar Seminar, “Eduardo Fabini” International Music Festival (Uruguay) and Guitar Festival of Culiacán – Sinaloa (Mexico), where he furthered his studies with Paul Galbraith, Eduardo Isaac, Sharon Isbin, Zoran Dukic, Gerard Abiton and Michael Lewin.

In 2010, Mr. Faga recorded a program for Rede Vida TV in Brazil and in the same year was awarded a scholarship from the Magda Tagliaferro Foundation, which enable him to study with Brazilian guitarist Fabio Zanon for an entire season.
